seeding a movement to humanize dementia care
The “Tell me about…” project
Tell me who is your family member, or friend?
Tell me when did you first realize that something was different, or when were they first diagnosed with dementia or brain change?
Tell me something that made them who they are/were?
Tell me something about them that lives on in you or your family?
The “Tell me about” video program will be used by the Blossom to connect with the families and community we will serve. We will offer this to participant families so that we can build an archive of life and joyful memory. The program will be available to view in our Respite Care Givers room, as well as online for selected videos. This program is a component of our “humanizing dementia care” and we are excited to have it grow and blossom as we learn more and more about our welcomed participants.
“Tell me about” - Debbie’s Mom
“We can be present with
curisoity as life unfolds,
bear sober witness to our
experiences of ageing, bring
compassion to hardships,
open the the heart to fourish
as human beings day by day,
and awaken again and again to the wonder of our very
being in the world at this
moment.
